Echoes of the Blues

Three-dimensional wall-mounted sculptures combine fabric hand-dyed with Japanese indigo, ripped, draped and loops around random weave upcycled guitar strings. The fluidity of the fabric contrasts with the rigid texture of the guitar strings, echoing the fluid, visceral experience of American Blues music.

Pieces from this series have been included in two 2024 group exhibitions.
