I'm thrilled that my work has been invited to 17 juried exhibitions since I began exhibiting in late 2022.

Fantastic Fibers, Yeiser Art Center, Paducah Kentucky

The Fantastic Fibers exhibition is a nationally acclaimed celebration of fiber art in its many forms. Fantastic Fibers emphasizes the versatility of fiber as a medium, featuring everything from intricate quilting and weaving to experimental mixed-media creations. By fostering artistic innovation and craftsmanship, the event plays a vital role in promoting fiber art as a dynamic and evolving discipline.

Shredding the Blues
Fiber wall sculpture, 40 X 18 X 4
(far left on the gallery wall)

Interconnected spheres crafted with recycled guitar strings using a random weave technique are intertwined with flowing upcycled linen fabric hand-dyed with indigo. Weaving through and around the spheres, the fabric mirrors the dynamic fluidity of the blues, and pays homage to the shredders of the genre.

Rainstorm
Fiber wall sculpture, 22 X 16 X 2

The drama of a soaking storm dances on the landscape, beating out the rhythm of a familiar song. Upcycled guitar strings form the warp for this loosely structured weaving of botanical and rust-dyed fabrics, topped with the papery fiber base of a Queen Palm frond.

Rainstorm was also accepted to Natural Elements at Blue Line Arts, Roseville CA in 2023 and Left Coast Artists Annual Juried Exhibition at the Sanchez Art Center, Pacifica California in 2024.
