Eco-print a Silk Scarf, August 9-10
In this class you'll learn the basics of eco-printing in a 'dirty pot' of eucalyptus, vinegar and rust water. You'll make a 15 X 72 inch silk crepe de chine scarf using your choice of Eucalyptus, Rose, Cotinus and Blackberry leaves along with onion skins. These botanicals produce beautiful prints of purple and red-orange on a brown/black background.
Because of the lengthy processing time to achieve vibrant colors with this process, you'll return the following day when we'll unbundle and rinse our scarves. You'll take home a beautiful and luxurious one-of-a-kind scarf, co-created by nature and you!
