I believe that curiosity and creativity are key to critical thinking. By using plants, upcycled, and unexpected materials, I hope to encourage people to rethink their assumptions and expectations, stimulating the curiosity that leads us all to a healthy questioning of ourselves and the status quo.

  • Close-up of textured cast paper in gray, blue, and orange colors.

    Connections.

In my Connections collection, I explore the ties that bind us as families, communities and as a global society. Fiber and paper pulp is cast onto strings to create 2D wall sculptures. This collection also ties me to my mother, Leanda, who taught me the art of papermaking and the joy of stretching artistic boundaries.

  • A multi-layered textile wall hanging with various fabric textures and colors, including brown, gray, and beige.

    Harmony.

Harmony is at the heart of the songs I write and sing with my husband Greg Newlon. Its also an inspiring state of peaceful coexistence, mutual understanding, and cooperation - and we need more of that in today's world. In my Harmony Collection, natural and found elements harmonize in unexpected ways.

  • A collection of twelve square samples of textured handmade paper arranged in a 3x4 grid, featuring various shades including beige, pink, purple, yellow, and green.

    Pathways.

Everywhere we’ve been leads to where we are. It seems obvious, but sometimes we forget to celebrate our unique journeys. With this series of handmade paper-covered wood blocks, I invite co-creation. Choose from sample configurations, or create your own. Commissions can scale as appropriate, incorporating local plants, meaningful fabrics or corporate colors.
