What you’ll learn:

Learn a simple method to make handmade paper from ordinary recycling scraps, plant fiber and kitchen waste using a household blender and just a small amount of water. Add color from tissue paper and texture using plant fiber and other botanicals.

You’ll learn the basic techniques of forming, pressing, casting and drying that can be applied to a variety of papermaking projects. All workshop materials are included.

What you’ll create:

You’ll take home 2-3 sheets of textured paper dried during the workshop, and 6 – 8 additional sheets of 6x6 handmade paper to dry at home.  

Where:

My home studio in Citrus Heights, California. Address will be provided with registration.

  • Sunday November 30, 1 pm – 4 pm

  • Monday January 29, 1 pm – 4 pm

Class size:

Limited to 8 participants; not suitable for children. Workshop may be canceled with 2 days’ notice and full refund if few than 3 people are registered.

Once you’ve taken this workshop, you’ll be invited to join our creative community on Facebook, and participate in drop-in Paper Play Dates on second and fourth Fridays at my home studio. (on hiatus for the holidays - resuming in 2026)
